TIM SHANTZ (CAT (C) B.E.S.S., CPT)
Athletic Therapist
After spending his first 18 years in northern Manitoba, Tim moved to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba where he blended his two passions; sports and healthcare by completing his bachelors degree in Athletic Therapy. For many years he balanced clinical practice with high performance strength & conditioning, working with such teams as team Canada volleyball and U of M Bisons men’s and women’s hockey teams, as well as personal training and chronic disease management at the Wellness Institute at Seven Oaks Hospital.
Now residing in Morden with his wife Dana and their sons Sully and Theo (oh and dog Capone!), Tim’s clinical practice includes specialization in vestibular assessment and treatment as well as foot orthotic assessment, and pediatrics. When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find him at the rink working with the hawks hockey program, or with his family outside: biking, skiing, hunting, golfing, and just enjoying the outdoor opportunities the Pembina Valley has to offer!

JARED HILDEBRAND (BMR-PT)

Jared is a physiotherapist who has a passion for empowering patients and helping them see their potential to take control and achieve their goals. Having taking multiple courses in orthopedics
including the Mulligan Concept of Mobilization with Movement, Managing the Injured Runner and
attending Symposiums on the foot and ankle, Lumbar spine, Osteoporosis and the shoulder. Wanting to give back to the community that has supported him Jared is involved as a board member for the Morden Chamber of Commerce and the Menzies Medical Board. As well he has played an important role in providing a Clinical Education Site by being a mentor for multiple Physiotherapy students since opening Morden Physiotherapy 2014. He believes staying active is an important part of life and in summer enjoys biking, running, golfing and renovating his heritage home. In the winter you can find
him on the cross country ski trails or playing hockey with friends. Jared’s enthusiasm can be heard throughout the clinic and his love for music has even brought him backstage as physiotherapist for
the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Selena Gomez!

ASHLEY FROESE (DPT)
Physiotherapist
A former member of the Canadian Junior National Softball Team, NCAA Division I athlete at Florida International University, and Canadian National Champion, Ashley graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Dakota in 2012. She has well over 10 years of academic experience spanning across Canada and the United States. Her orthopaedic background combines various manual therapies, thorough education and exercise prescription. She considers herself a very hands on therapist with a passion for keeping active in the profession through volunteering with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM). Growing up in the farming community of Snowflake, when Ashley returned home to Manitoba she decided that it was time to increase service and accessibility for all patients of any age in rural southern Manitoba. This drove her passion to continue to seek further education. Ashley has years of experience in the areas of Acupuncture, Dry Needling, Intro & Advanced Vestibular Therapy (Balance & Vertigo), and has completed Levels 1, 2A, 2B & Capstone (Advanced) Certificates through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute as well as various other courses in Women’s Health & Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy including Pelvic Pain, Bladder Pain Syndrome, Pre and Post Natal, Prolapse, Pediatric Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, and more.

STEFAN MULAIRE (MPT)
Physiotherapist
Stefan was born and raised in Brandon where he met his wife. Together they moved to Winnipeg to follow Stefan’s passion to educate and create a healthier and more durable client through physiotherapy. Stefan graduated from the school of Medical Rehabilitation at the University of Manitoba in 2017 with a Master’s in Physiotherapy. He also completed a bachelor of science from his home town in Brandon in 2015. Stefan has a background in personal training and wishes to pursue further education to build a more durable client through strength and conditioning. He has also continued his education in orthopaedics, and is certified to practice Acupuncture and Dry Needling. Outside of the clinic, Stefan is busy with his family and volunteers on the local Fire Department!

KAITLYN HAMILTON (MPT)
Physiotherapist
Originally from Winnipeg, Kaitlyn now spends her time on an acreage just outside of Morden.
Participating in multiple sports growing up, such as soccer and ringette, drove her passion for
exercise and movement. Kaitlyn completed her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba in 2017. When not at the clinic, Kaitlyn is working at Boundary Trails Health Centre where she has gained skills working with a wide range of conditions and age groups. Since graduating, Kaitlyn has completed a variety of courses such as The Mulligan Concept- Upper
Quadrant, Pan Am Symposium on the Lumbar Spine, The Thoracic Spine by Dr. Bahram Jam, COVID Long Haulers by Mary Massery, and more. Kaitlyn has a passion for neurological
rehabilitation. She has experience working with clients with Parkinson’s, MS, spinal cord
injuries, strokes and brain injuries. She has completed multiple courses in Neurodevelopment
Treatment (NDT) and plans to continue expanding her knowledge in future courses. Kaitlyn
believes that physiotherapy treatment should be based on achieving functional goals and uses exercise prescription that is unique and tailored to each individual in order to help them accomplish those goals.

CARLY MCLEOD (MPT)

Carly graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in 2015, and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2017. Carly started her career in Brandon, MB where she developed a passion for Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Originally from Mather, Carly always knew she wanted to return to rural Manitoba. She currently lives in Manitou with her husband and their daughter. Through both orthopaedic and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, Carly loves helping people get back to living their life, whatever that looks like for them! Carly is dedicated to life long learning, and has completed several post graduate courses, including: The Physical Therapy Approach to Female Urinary Incontinence, The Physiotherapy Approach for Dyspareunia, Special Considerations for Caesarean Section: Preparing for and recovering from Belly Birth, The Physiotherapy Assessment of Breastfeeding: Maternal and Infant Factors, Pregnancy, Pelvic Girdle Pain & The Pelvic Floor, Advanced Rehab Techniques in Breast Cancer, Female Athletes: Ready for Impact and High Intensity, Gastrointestinal Disorders and the Pelvic Floor, as well as several other orthopaedic, pelvic floor, and chronic pain management courses. REBECCA ATKINSON (BMR-PT)

Change is constant. Our bodies change. Our abilities change. Rebecca is here to walk with you when those changes are challenging. Rebecca’s strengths are in working with those who have had a stroke or experience other neurological symptoms, live with dementia or support someone who does, and generally those who are seeking greater participation in their life. In her 16 year physiotherapy career, she has served people in diverse settings including hospitals, rehab centres, private clinics, and now in people’s homes. Her continued education is wide-ranged though usually focused on how we as humans function and how the nervous system is ripe for positive change (neuroplasticity) given awareness and sensory-motor information. If you are interested in a holistic approach to your physical challenges, contact Rebecca for a detailed assessment and treatment plan towards your life goals. KYLE BERGEN (MPT)

Kyle graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2021 with his Masters in Physical Therapy. Prior to
finishing his Masters, he completed a Bachelors in Kinesiology which included fieldwork based in Winkler with Sport Manitoba South. Kyle grew up in Elm Creek and spent his high school years playing a variety of sports and enjoying the outdoors. Since graduating, he has set down roots in Winkler with his wife and kids and looks forward to building into the community in the years to come. Professional involvement has been a focus for Kyle throughout his studies and he has served as a representative for two years on the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba, the National Orthopedic Division of the
Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and the Orthopedic Division of the Manitoba Physiotherapy
Association. He is passionate about serving and plans to continue being an active member of the profession and the local community. Kyle is certified to practice Acupuncture and has special interest in Hand Therapy.

JUSTIN WILLSIE (MPT)

Justin originally grew up playing hockey and loving the outdoors in British Columbia before moving to Manitoba to finish high school and attend the University of Manitoba’s Master of Physiotherapy program. After spending time on both Canadian coasts, Justin and his family now call Carman home. Justin’s three boys keep him busy and active in the community with their love of hockey and camping.
Justin has certification to perform Acupuncture and Dry Needling, and looks forward to pursuing his education with courses such as Vestibular Therapy, Sports First Responder, and TMJ in the near future. He enjoys being involved in the community, including training the Pembina Valley Hawks U18 hockey team. Justin looks forward to building a strong rapport with his patients while enjoying small-town life!

EMMA GYLYWOYCHUK-WINKLER (MPT)

Emma was raised on a farm outside of Carman, and recently purchased a home in town. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2024 and a degree in Kinesiology in 2022. Emma played many different sports growing up, and played high level softball with the Manitoba Thunder and in the 2016 summer games. She suffered a severe knee injury in grade 12, which forced her to take a break from sports to recover from a knee surgery. Her knee rehabilitation led her to an interest in physiotherapy and inspired her to pursue the profession herself. She felt the desire to help others who were in similar situations as she was. In her free time Emma enjoys finding ways to be active, coaching youth softball teams, camping, and spending time at the lake with friends and family. Emma also recently completed her certification as a spin instructor at Spin Sisters studio in Carman. Emma has a passion for helping others get back to the best version of themselves, and being an active member in the community. Emma is very excited to start her career as a physiotherapist and assist others by utilizing the knowledge that she has acquired with her education.

Katie frost loves all things coffee, gardening and animals. She lives in Morden with her husband, 3 sons, 2 dogs and a cat. Katie began serving in the health care community in 2006 as a dental assistant. She went back to college in 2011, graduating in 2014 from Wellington College as a massage therapist. Recently Katie completed a course in TMJ (jaw) dysfunction which ties her passions for dental care and massage together. During the winter months if you are looking for her – go to the hockey arena, she will be coming or going shortly.

Jesse graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies in 2018 as a massage therapist.
Jesse lives on an acreage south of Morden with her husband, daughter, dog and cats. She loves everything outdoors, from gardening to running and snowshoeing to fishing and camping! Jesse loves being a part of the Morden Physio family and has a passion for helping her clients on their road to feeling their best!

Born and raised in the area, Marisa is a graduate of the Evolve College of Massage Therapy and fully trained to provide assessment and treatment for a variety of physical ailments using a wide range of manual therapies, including Swedish massage, sports massage, and myofascial release. Her interests and passions outside of the clinic include soccer, dance, and reading.

CARLEE FEHR
Carlee was born and raised in Morden, growing up on a farm, and has always loved being active and being outdoors, where she spends lots of her summers over at Lake Minnewasta hiking and kayaking! After graduating from Morden Collegiate in 2018, Carlee attended the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology to become a Rehabilitation Assistant as she begins to pursue her interest into one day becoming a Physiotherapist! We are excited to have Carlee as part of our team, as she brings her rehab aide skill set to the office.

VICTORIA ZACHARIAS
Born and raised in Brandon, MB, growing up on an acreage, she has always been active and very involved in her community; coaching volleyball and volunteering her time whenever she could. After moving to Carman, she spends most of her time outside: hiking, camping, skiing, etc. After graduating from Elton Collegiate in 2014, she played University volleyball in the States for a year. Upon returning, she enrolled at Assiniboine Community College where she graduated with her Medical Administration Diploma. Prior to moving to Carman Victoria worked at a Physiotherapy clinic in Brandon and we are thrilled to have her fill this important role for us.

JANELLE FRIESEN
Janelle has been the receptionist at Winkler Physiotherapy since July of 2021. Janelle
was born and raised in Winkler, and spent a number of years in Vancouver to work and study before moving back to be closer to family. She graduated from Blanche MacDonald’s Global Makeup program in 2015, and enjoys working with costume and special effects makeup in her spare time. When not at work, or outside in the garden, you can find Janelle spoiling her two cats. She is looking forward to working at Winkler
Physiotherapy for years to come.

Abby graduated from Morden Collegiate in 2020, where she played Varsity Basketball for all 4 years. Her passion and interests include hiking and traveling! She has already traveled to Europe 3 times now and most recently spent 10 months traveling Europe in 2021-2022. She loves to be involved in the community and the church she attends and has been a great asset to our team!
